Hubrick is the definition of a chicken and egg design scenario. We had to create an entirely new social network, with integrations from the world's leading E-commerce retailers, flight booking agents, movie studios and music providers. Doing this while the company was still in it's infancy and has no discernable branding was an extreme challenge. I was responsible for several elements of this platform including the onboarding process, gamification, and the look and feel of the website.
Our CEO's vision was extremely broad and nothing was impossible. We worked with the latest technogies such as React to make the network a truly immersive place that would keep users coming back. Our motto was to always keep ease of use and beauty at the forefront of every design decision we made.
In my time at Hubrick, the company grew from 20 people, to over 70 in 4 different countries. My designs were used to make onboarding an engaging and easy experiece, and to make gamification a key element of keeping user retention up. I was responsible for not only the visual designs but the planning, UX, user journeys, running teams and overseeing developement with a team oh highly skilled developers. Hubrick was a dream project and it was immensly fun to work on a project where the only boundaries were my imagination.
